Dr. Paul Colon
Paul Colon DPM, FACFAS

Dr. Paul Colon DPM, FACFAS | American Foot and Leg Specialists

Dr. Paul Colon graduated from the Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine, and completed his residency in podiatric medicine and surgery at St. Luke’s Children Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Dr. Colon continued his post graduate training in “Theoretical Basis and Practical Principles of the Operative Treatment of Fractures and Nonunion” in Davos, Switzerland.

Dr. Colon is a national and international lecturer and has held a number of teaching positions He has taught at the California School of Podiatric Medicine, The Dr. William M. Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine, the University of Osteopathic Medicine and Health Sciences College of Podiatric Medicine and Surgery, Hadassah University Hospital and Medical Center in Jerusalem, Israel as a teaching fellow and City Hospital #1 Odessa, Ukraine. Dr. Colon has also held the position of President of both the Georgia Podiatric Medical Association and Region 10 for the American Podiatric Medical Association.

Board Certified, Dr. Paul Colon is a Fellow in the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons, and a Diplomate of the American Board of Podiatric Surgeons.

Board Certified, Dr. Praya Mam, DPM is a Diplomate of the American Board of Foot & Ankle Surgery as well as a member of the American Podiatric Medical Association. Additionally, Dr. Mam is a Fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons.

Dr. Mam began his education with a bachelor’s degree from the University of West Florida before receiving his medical degree from the Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine. Dr. Mam’s post graduate training included a medical and surgical residency at Cleveland Foot and Ankle Clinic in Cleveland, Ohio.

Dr. Mam has been in practice with American Foot & Leg Specialists since 1994. He is currently on staff at Piedmont Henry and Atlanta Medical Center.


Dr. Jeffrey P. Flash
Jeffrey P. Flash, DPM, FACFAS

Dr. Jeffrey P. Flash | American Foot and Leg Specialists

Board Certified, Dr. Jeffrey Flash is a graduate of the Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine. Dr. Flash completed his residency at Mount Sinai Medical Center where he served as Chief Resident of Podiatric Medicine and Surgery. Dr. Flash worked at a number of top Miami medical centers including the University of Miami, Jackson Memorial Hospital and the Ambulatory Surgical Center at the Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center. Dr. Flash has advanced training in External Fixation from Kurgan, Russia.

Dr. Flash is Board Certified in Foot Surgery by the American Board of Podiatric Surgery. In addition to being a Fellow at the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons, Dr. Flash is an associate member of the American Podiatric Medical Association and the Georgia Podiatric Medical Association. As a testament to his distinction in the field of podiatry, Dr. Flash has won the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons Earl G. Kaplan Award for Academic and Clinical Excellence; the Wally Wiseman Surgical Excellence Award; and the Dr. Marvin W. Shapiro Operative Podiatry Award.

Dr. Rodney Gadson
Rodney Gadson, DPM, CWS

Dr. Rodney Gadson, DPM, CWS | American Foot and Leg Specialists

Board Certified Dr. Rodney Gadson is a Doctor of Podiatric Medicine, a Diplomate of the American Board of Lower Extremity Surgeons, and Certified by the American Academy of Wound Management as a Wound Management Specialist. Dr. Gadson is the Chairman of the Podiatry Department and serves on the Executive Medical Committee at Atlanta Medical Center

Dr. Gadson is a graduate of the Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine and completed his residency training at the Hunter Holmes McGuire VA Medical Center.

Dr. Gadson is a Diplomate of the American Council of Certified Podiatric Physicians and Surgeons. Dr. Gadson is a member of the American Podiatric Medical Association, the Georgia Podiatric Medical Association, and the American Running and Fitness Association.

Dr. Gadson is on staff with Atlanta Medical Center.

Board Certified, Dr. Marieli Colon graduated with honors from the University of Puerto Rico with a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Pre-medical Sciences. Dr. Colon earned her medical degree from Barry University in Miami Shores, Florida, and completed her residency training in podiatric medicine and surgery at Sacred Heart Hospital in Chicago, Illinois.

Dr. Colon is a Diplomate of the American Board of Multiple Specialties in Podiatry and Board Certified in Primary Care in Podiatric Medicine. Dr. Colon is a member of the American Podiatric Medical Association and the Georgia Podiatric Medical Association.

Dr. Marieli Colon is on staff at Atlanta Medical Center and is fluent in both English and Spanish.


Dr. Loren Colon
Loren K. Colon, DPM, FACFAS

Dr. Loren Colon | American Foot and Leg Specialists

Graduate of the University of Michigan with a Bachelor’s of Science in Movement Science. Dr. Loren Colon received his medical degree from Barry University in Miami Shores, Florida where he was granted a merit scholarship for his academic excellence. Dr. Colon completed his podiatric medical and surgical residency training at the VA Medical Center in Decatur, Georgia, working alongside Emory University physicians.

Dr. Colon is board certified in Podiatric Surgery by the American Board of Podiatric Surgery. Dr. Colon is also a Diplomate of the American Board of Multiple Specialties in Podiatry in both Podiatric Surgery and Primary Care. Dr. Colon is a member of the American Podiatric Medical Association and the Georgia Podiatric Medical Association. He has been named a Fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons (FACFAS), joining an elite group of physicians. Additionally, as a member of the American Academy of Podiatric Sports Medicine, Dr. Colon volunteers his time with various local sports teams.

Dr. Ebony B. Lewis
Ebony B. Lewis, DPM

Atlanta Podiatrist Ebony Lewis, DPM

Dr. Lewis received her Bachelor’s of Science degree in Exercise Science from Florida State University, in Tallahassee, FL. She then graduated medical school from the Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine, in Cleveland, OH and served as National President of the Student National Podiatric Medical Association (SNPMA).

After receiving her Doctorate of Podiatric Medicine, Dr. Lewis completed her surgical residency training at St. Vincents Medical Center, in Jacksonville, FL. During her time in residency, she served as Chief Resident of Podiatric Medicine and Surgery. In her final year there, she had the opportunity to travel to Fond des Blancs, Haiti on a medical mission trip.

In her spare time she enjoys golf, travel, and other outdoor activities.


Dr. Rose James
Rose James, DPM

Dr. Rose James is an Atlanta, GA, native and completed her undergraduate studies at Georgia Institute of Technology where she obtained a Bachelor of Science in Biology and minors in Social Psychology and Applied Physiology. During her time at Georgia Tech, Rose founded the largest healthcare volunteer organization on campus, which is one of her proudest accomplishments.

Dr. James became interested in podiatry while volunteering at Grady Memorial Hospital in Atlanta and decided to become a Doctor of Podiatric Medicine at the Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine in Chicago, IL. After graduation, Rose returned to Atlanta to complete a three-year surgical training residency at the Atlanta VA where she completed a Podiatric Surgical Residency-36 with Reconstructive Rearfoot, and participated in Surgery Rotations at many of Atlanta’s top podiatric centers.

In addition to her impressive education, Dr. James has earned numerous awards, certifications, and memberships to professional societies. Her hobbies include cooking, baking, hiking, astronomy, sightseeing, basketball, fitness and reading National Geographic. The entire staff at American Foot & Leg welcomes Rose to the team and looks forward to working with her.
